This is hard for me to do, but I have to say: this book is not good...
Mixed feelings on this one. I'd really enjoyed the previous installment, but not this one. It's the first Shadownhunter book I'm not giving 4 or 5 stars.
The story itself isn't the best Cassie has ever written. Which would earn this book 4 stars at best.
However, sometimes, it felt like these characters we got to know so well weren't themselves.
I was glad to see the TMI gang all back together on an adventure, it really felt like a throwback to TMI. But for every moment that made me love this book, there was one that made me want to put it down and reread TMI instead.
I see its value as a set up for TWP, but by itself or as part of TEC, it deserves 3 stars a most.
