Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

I know, I know... This is a middle grade fantastical book and with its huge spine it packs heavy content, is a fun world to get lost in and our dear children can get to learn about bullying and/or prejudice along with its effects among other things. That would be a great thing to impart to children of our generation. Along with that themes of segregation, food, good vs evil, magic are clearly embossed. But there are deeper meanings to all that that we can relate to the world. ⁣

Though the plot follows the formulaic development of the previous book, book 4 has a plethora of activities that had me glued. I didn't see that dark twist that was dropped on my laps when I thought I might escape from any deathly casualty. Shit just got real. This is where things have been painted so well that they is no grey area. You're either in the white side or dark side. ⁣

This was a fast paced, humongous but enjoyable read. ⁣

The only fault I find with this series is it 1st person narration but none other than Harry Potter. I would have loved to get intimate with the other characters and see and feel the flow and vibes of other houses. ⁣

Now with that twist that has me grimacing & heart broken, I'm really looking forward to book 5.
