Battling the Bureaucracy by Cecelia Conway
5.0
Battling the Bureaucracy is the second novella in the Capitol Shorts duet by Cecelia Conway, featuring an age-gap romance among coworkers with a little suspense thrown in. I was intrigued by Asher and Georgie, when I read the first short story, so it was fun to focus more on them. This novella was definitely fast-paced, yet packed with emotion, drama, some suspense, and plenty of steam between the MCs!! I loved how protective Asher was of her, and how safe she felt with him. I did feel like the end was a bit abrupt, even though everything was resolved for Georgie and the others affected. I found myself wanting more information! What were the eventual consequences? How big did it get? What did the 2 couples’ lives look like later? This is a personal flaw, you guys. I am an epilogue addict, and I need a program!
