I loved Hyacinth's story. It was great to finally see things from her perspective (instead of just as the annoying bratty younger sister). This book did feel different to me than the other Bridgerton books (not in a good or bad way). The romance felt more like a side plot to the main plot that was reading the diary and figuring out the whole mystery. Gareth was okay. I didn't hate him but... he was questionable at times.
