I read this through because it was shortlisted for a Hugo award

My reading notes say:

Okay, so a) i get why this kind of story is part of the zeitgeist, and that there have been 'value the workers' stories at least since The Roads Must Roll, and b) this story is very much talking to a lot of people suffering from corporate greed. But I hate reading these kinds of stories.

Good writing, great worldbuilding, I was bored and would have stopped reading if I didn't want to judge it fairly against the other nominees.
