I liked this book, a lot in fact, but I didn’t love it.
The plot is woven intricately and thrills the reader with twists and turns. Following the ever impressive Poirot through the murders, making guesses alongside Hastings, and having all your guesses turned upside down are the classic hallmarks of a Christie novel, and this is no exception. I love Christie’s style of writing, and I found the book very hard to put down.

However, I found the ending didn’t satisfy me in the way I’d hoped. It left me with unanswered questions, and a vaguely hollow feeling. In all honesty, it felt like the book was written based on the ABC plot without too much thought given to the actual murderer. This left me a tad disappointed after the final chapters.

Overall a good read, I would definitely recommend to those who love Agatha Christie as much as I do, but not many others. It just doesn’t leave you feeling complete or satisfied.
