A friend of mine let me borrow this book while he in turn borrowed my copy of 1984. Pretty sure we both missed a little, I wasn’t super fond of this book nor was he into 1984. Thinking it was too much of a cliché. (??) oh well, off topic.
This book just didn’t do it for me. The weird people who didn’t contribute to the story, the Amount of people in this story... a lot to keep track of.
I also found the sex in this book really, really weird and unsuitable for the story. Like, the world is in a crisis and all you want to do is the frickety frick frack?? No thanks.
I also think that too many of the women in this book were weak and badly written. - not all women, but enough for it to bother me a great deal.
The writing was OK I guess, sometimes there were unnecessary details that didn’t matter in the least.
I enjoyed reading this book, but the three stars are weak. Two felt too low but three almost too high. So yeah.
