From the Corner of the Oval by Beck Dorey-Stein

5.0

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It's part coming-of-age memoir, part voyeuristic peek into the day-to-day of the White House. I will admit, I cried A LOT listening to this book. The contrasts between the president in this book and the man who currently sits in that oval, continually shook me. I am hopeful that we will find our way back to what Obama represented but being reminded that HE HAPPENED was comforting. Beck's story was equal parts relatable and OMG WHAT. It just goes to show you that even in the most insane circumstances, we are human and human nature can't be subverted. I definitely recommend this one!
