A Little Luck is the third book in the Be Still series, featuring an angsty, friends to lovers romance for Adam and Piper. Piper is a single mom/newspaper owner who has survived the worst type of relationship. Her tormentor may be dead the scars and secrets she carries still haunt her. Adam Stone has been her friend forever, but he’s also been the one she wishes was her man. He used to be a mess, but he spent years turning his life around. He says he loves her and her son, but can she really trust her heart? She always seems to have bad luck. Will her luck finally change?
This is the third book I’ve read by this author, and they just keep getting better and better!! The world building of the town of Eureka is perfection. All the characters are well-developed, and will have you feeling right at home in their quirky little town! Adam and Piper both stole my heart! It’s clear that they are meant to be together, and the painful journey that got them there made them the amazing people the are. Piper’s past was heart-wrenching and definitely brought me to tears, but it made me so proud of her for everything she accomplished for herself and her awesome son! I loved the way Adam exudes compassion and shows his love for those he cares about. He’s so amazing with Ryan!
