On Love by Alain de Botton

3.0

Though I find Botton's insight saturated with emotional brilliance, the book was highly indulgent (by nature of the subject), making the reading experience tiresome. An excellent thinker and writer, but damned to overindulgence by the task of exploring the apex of self-absorption: love. It's possible that any treatise on the subject would be equally exhausting. I'll definitely be reading more of Botton's writing.
