The characters are all one-dimensional stereotypes and some of those stereotypes are incredibly harmful. The story is also highly predictable and occasionally ridiculous. 

Also, how many people did Theo hurt or kill out of sheer carelessness?! That whole action sequence at the 65% mark made me think he was the most dangerous character in the book.
