23 Minutes in Hell: One Man's Story about What He Saw, Heard, and Felt in That Place of Torment by Bill Wiese

5.0

This book was fantastic yet horrifying. The subject of hell had been something I have avoided, and I didn't believe in it. I don't believe I'm headed there, so I thought it wouldn't matter what I though. This book was eye opening, and you can't discount someone's personal testimony. I know people who don't have a relationship with Jesus, and this book certainly prompts me to talk with them about Jesus and His love for them. I feel dread at the thought of anyone I know who ends up in hell.

There are many scriptures used to back up the proof of hell being a literal place. The author also points to Jesus as the answer to saving someone from the depths of the earth. He continually points to the Bible to show what he experienced is scriptural and accurate based on scripture.

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in knowing whether or not hell is a real place. Even if you don't believe it is, you may change your mind after reading Wiese's testimony. It has made me think about what is truly important in life and what isn't. Love for God and our fellow man is what is important. Pursue love. Forgive. Be an example of how Christ lived. Good stuff!
