I did like this book.
I was looking forward to reading it, and I was disappointed when I started it. In the beginning, the book seemed to have no plot, our character seemed to have no ability to form many thoughts, and to be honest I didn't really like Stephen that much (that's another thing - what was with the names? I can't just about cope with Stephen , but Carol?? I'm pretty sure I've never met a Carol under the age of 70)
But then the book started to pick up. It began to make more sense, have a bit more life to it as well. In the end I began to like Stephen, and to be able to hear his voice with his thoughts, rather than only the cold narration the book began with. So technically, I'm giving this book 3.5 stars, but it wasn't quite good enough to round up. There's not many people I would recommend this to, because of the quickness of it I would recommend it to younger readers but then I wouldn't be able to do that because of the amount of swearing in it. Not really sure who I would recommend this to. Another thing, I expected this book to take me about 2 days to read... it took me a week. It just wasn't gripping enough to convince me to read it, so I kept on putting in off.
