Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel

I was expecting to relate to a lot of Bechdel's experiences; what I was not expecting were the references and comparisons to classic (especially queer classic) works of literature, which I enjoyed thoroughly. I am left wanting to read every book Bechdel mentions (and reread, in the case of Oscar Wilde) just to further understand all the smart juxtaposition used. Bechdel succeeds in presenting a version of her father that is flawed yet sympathetic to create the best graphic memoir I've read so far.
