This was such a good character-focused read. I thought the reader could really feel the complecated situation Korede has found herself in and understand why she does the things that she does throughout the story.
Graphic: Murder, Death, Blood, and Violence
Moderate: Child abuse, Domestic abuse, and Medical content
CW for cheating: A character is mentioned as having cheated on his wife many times. Another character is also in a situation that might be called cheating, depending on how you look at it.
CW for police intemidation: Early on the main character is intemidated by a police officer to pay him money instead of receiving a ticket.
