Baptism of Fire by Andrzej Sapkowski

4.75

Geralt and Ciri are separated and Geralt is injured and still struggling with his duty. I enjoyed the story progression, it feels like we're getting very close to everything coming to a head. Ciri's cruelty was unexpected but intriguing, as well as a little terrifying. I loved how Geralt's not only picked up some new friends but that they were quick to call him out on his crap. In this story, Geralt comes to accept that he needs help on his mission, that he doesn't have to do it on his own.
