At first I thought my slump was the reason I couldn't get along with the book, but I think the pacing was the issue. The plot point on the back doesn't happen until around 250 pages in, which meant the whole book I knew what was about to happen. For a short book, I think they got together too soon for me, and the relationship felt very flimsy and a lot of decisions weren't explained.
