This was so beautiful. I am so glad this book exists. The rating unfortunately lost a half star for the fatphobia. This is the middle grade trans representation I have always needed. It resolved a little too quickly, but I get it for a middle grade novel. I want a movie adaptation! It is such a beautiful, child friendly exploration of gender, grief, and friendship.
