Lily, the fitness trainer, returns to her hometown, accompanied by her adorable service dog, Peter Pan (a Shiba Inu). River, who has harbored feelings for her since childhood, now manages the family-owned bar. His delightfully dirty mind had me laughing out loud! I'm firmly on #TeamIHateGrant (that jerk deserves a one-way ticket to hell). Lily's relatability made me feel like I was looking in a mirror, and River's anxiety added an unexpected layer. Plus, Lily's dream job had me envious! The MCs' bonding time was captivating, and their text conversations were a highlight. River's thoughtfulness in securing their future together melted my heart. As for her parents? Well, they can join Grant in hell! 😡 Prudence was a gem, and those crazy peacocks? Hilarious! Bonus: The book is sprinkled with Taylor Swift references—another reason to love it! River's swoon-worthy, and the found family theme shines throughout. Kudos to Stef and Lee for unknowingly orchestrating this lovebirds' reunion. And that ending? Pure gold! 😂 I'm eagerly awaiting book 2, Jordana! 📚✨
