Lethal Redemption: Two Full Books for the Price of One by April Hunt

4.0

Seventeen years ago, Grace Steele ran away from her mother and the cult that had stolen her childhood. Driven by her need to understand people, she became one of the FBI's finest profilers. But when the Vice President's daughter disappears in the same cult she escaped, she will need to finally face her past - and survive working with the one guy who broke her heart. Cade Wright seriously screwed up nine years ago - he is well aware it was his fault and he will do anything for a second chance. Even go undercover in a cult.

I loved this book. It was nonstop from beginning to end. Grace is a toughie and I loved watching her not only as a special agent but a strong woman. She is tough and calls herself and others on their stuff with no hesitation. Cade is also a Man. Like a real, live, emotionally sensitive, aware of his flaws as a man - Man. It is a joy. He is hot and smart and knows that Grace is beautiful and brilliant and he will do anything for a second chance. Their relationship is complicated and real - and everything that is great about a good second chance romance.

The only thing that stopped this from being a four was - I really wanted more of them the first time around - I wanted to see them before everything went wrong. It also ended in what felt like an abrupt way... But that could be because on the ebook there is a like bonus story and so this one ended at 53%....
