The Lost Wife by Alyson Richman

3.0

3.5 - I was engrossed in Lenkas story, and the fact it was based on real people and the horror of their experiences in the camps made it even more intense/traumatic reading. I had visited the haunting Dachau site a number of years ago, and reading this novel about the camps was just chilling. I was into Josef’s story of the time before he got to America - but then found myself skimming his sections when he talked about his life and family there after emigrating - I found myself just wanting to get back to Lenkas tale. If I wasn’t compelled to skim read his sections, this would have been 4.5. Plus I would have like more in the prologue about their reunion - that was really sweet.
