It’s a memoir by it is so narrative, it reads like a novel. There’s a lot of truths embedded into a memoir about immigration— a lot of hard truths to the reality of it. The author shares his journey from when he was 9, immigrating from El Salvador to the US, without his parents, but with the community surrounds him. It’s a beautiful and painful tail, one that should be read and shared.
