3.5 - still not a huge fan of the way Lucinda Berry does first person multiple POVs and some of her writing feels too simplistic, but this one is the first of her books I actually enjoyed, probably because the characters weren’t completely insufferable. I liked the cult aspect a lot, and thought it was pretty well done in how it followed Kate. The 11 year timeline did feel a little wonky since everything was somewhat condensed, but enjoyable overall still
