Oh, this book was so fun.

I watched the TV show and was disappointed to see that it had been cancelled after one season. Then, I discovered the show had been based on a book, which the show had only adapted half of, and I knew I had to read it (or, in this case, listen to it - which I cannot recommend enough!)

The first thing I discovered is that the show very loosely resembles the book, which I think is a blessing because it allows both to have a space to exist without stepping on each other's toes. I honestly don't have a preference, because I think that they are different enough that they can't really be compared.

The book is very fun, it has such a unique comedy that I have not seen in any other book. I laughed out loud so many times and was gripped by the story from the first chapter. I adored Jane and Gifford's romance but also the politics with Ethians and how the story eventually found its way back on course within our known history.

I will absolutely be going on to the next few books in this series!
