What You Are Looking for Is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama

Wow wow wow I loved this book SO SO MUCH. This might be my favourite thing that I've read in a loooong time, and when I was a teenager I would probably have made this book my entire personality tbh.

A beautiful mediation on life, feeling lost in life, finding meaning wherever we need to find meaning, and the power and inspiration of books. Toward the beginning of the second or third story I started to worry it was becoming a little formulaic and predictable, but after realising the characters' journeys were more important than their specific paths, it opened up and I found myself falling in love.

Just gorgeous all round, and for the first time in a long time I actually can't wait to re-read.
