I loved this book! Even despite all the hype around it I wasn’t expecting this to be as amazing as it was. First of all, yes this is classified as a dark romance and yes there is a whole page of trigger warnings but they are all so worth the read. This is a story of two serial killers so there’s murder and gorey descriptions but both Rowan and Sloane are somehow still relatable. They have real lives and real feelings outside of their disturbing idea of fun and in the end their overarching story is frankly adorable. Additionally, there’s a lot of very comedic aspects that make the dark parts more digestible. My only other reference to a dark romance was the Cat and Mouse series and those were not only creepy but crazy spicy so I went into this one thinking the spice was going to be a lot heavier than it was. Nothing really happens until later so there’s still a great level of tension and build up to the romantic part. The other part I love is we’re gonna get two more books in this series and we know its gonna be the other Kane brothers’ stories so I am PUMPED!
