This book totally made me want to a)go on a hike and b)make friends with the people she met on the trail. I am positively jealous of her writing ability...jumping from the past to present seamlessly, making the effort of the hike come to life, and conveying the profound lessons she learned in a way that was not cheesy or Hallmark-y at all. Read this book. And then go outside.
