Possession by A.M. Johnson

5.0

Possession is the first book in a series of brothers who own an ink shop called Avenues Ink. This is Declan’s story, and he is the middle brother. Raised by a drunk of a father the brothers are forged together by steel. Declan hears voices, dark and angry ones that talk down to him and make him feel worthless. Only thing that helps the voices is his relationship with Paige. After a break up, and a downward spiral.... nine years later she comes back. This is their story.

What did I like? The story was perfectly executed, and if you don’t mind the past and present chapters then you will love this one. The story is based in Salt Lake City... home of the Mormon church, and there are some religious overtones in the book. Paige and Declan are perfect. The story makes these two seem like they were made for each other.

Would I recommend or buy? So two triggers.... religious hints, and past/ present chapters. Some people don’t like that but it’s a beautiful story. I enjoyed it. I recommend and I’d buy a copy.

Thoughts for the author? Not sure where I got this book... author? Freebie? Decent book with a five star rating from me. I’m hoping the next book is in my library.
