I felt like I was reading an outline for a book rather than an actual book.

All the small details that make a good novel were left out, most of the suspenseful scenes were related second hand or seen from a distance, and the dialogue was vague enough in places that the characters would have had serious miscommunication issues if the writer had been self aware.

Basically it read like a story that hadn't been edited or beta-read by anyone competent enough to point out basic issues the author wasn't able to see in her fatigue or excitement over the story.

May just be the worst book I ever forced myself to finish reading.
