Ransome's Quest by Kaye Dacus

4.0

It's summer, vacation time but just in case you can't make to your tropical destination of choice this year with books like Kaye Dacus's Ransome's Quest there's no need to worry. The latest book in the Ransome Trilogy has sultry breezes, cerulean waters and huge ships that will take you on a journey to rival any trip to the beach. Ms. Dacus has put together a satisfying conclusion for the characters we've all grown to know and love.

The adventures of Julia, Charlotte, William, and Ned along with some exciting and ferocious new characters definitely makes for a real page-turner. Throughout the series each character has grown in their faith while remaining flawed and vulnerable. At times they were scared (if you read this book I dare you not to shiver at the name of Shaw!) and sometimes defiant. Poor Ned, the things he has to go through looking out for Charlotte aka Charles Lott.

All in all Ransome's Quest is a great read for those who like a little romance, a little faith and a lot of adventure. Marylu Tyndall fans will probably love this too. Just a hint, I highly recommend reading this series in order as you will be very confused otherwise with so many characters and backstories.
