Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder by Jo Nesbø

3.0

With a title like that you would think this book was downright dumb, but you'd be wrong. Even though every chapter talks about farts and farting at least ten times, the story is clever and engaging enough to keep you interested all the way to the end.

Nilly is a very tiny little red headed boy who moves to a small town in Norway where things get out of hand the second he moves in. Although small in stature Nilly makes up for it with his big heart and his quick wit. He knows all the animals in the book of Animals You Wish Didn't Exist and can play a trumpet like it's no ones business. He makes a connection with Lisa his next door neighbor who recently said goodbye to her best friend who moved away. Together Nilly and Lisa friend Dr. Proctor who has invented the infamous fart powder that makes you fart as loud as a cannon but without the toxic smell of a regular fart. There are evil thieves who are desperate to get their hands on the fart powder in order to make a profit and it's up to the two friends to prevent it.
