Keep Paris by Kelly Kay

3.0

This book was such a wonderful story!!!
I love this soul mates second chance love story!!! This was more than just romance because it was riddled with growth, humor, & of course, a bit of trauma healing.

I loved the story of how Lizzie & Danny first met at 18 y/o in Paris. Their connection was strong, but I enjoyed how they added value to each other's lives. They shared their stories, their dreams, and their goals  with each other while also making life plans. The way that Lizzie's dad manipulated them was horrid.

The time jumped 10 years later, bringing us into a workplace rivalry situation that was hilarious.  I absolutely love the workplace banter, the pranks, and the way their banter turned into a bit of a lusty situation.
The night that they met up in the  bar in NY was fantastic. I loved the way they reconnected instantaneously. The combustion of emotions was exactly what I expected!!!

I loved everything about this story!!!
I absolutely loved the emotional growth that both Danny & Lizzie went through.
I'm excited for the rest of this series.

The writing was done really well. The internal monolog of 18 y/o Danny & Lizzie was fitting for that aged person, whereas the inner monolog of the adult versions of themselves was also fitting.
The story pacing was done really well.
The banter was top-notch.
The spicy scenes were so good. I laughed so hard at their Zoom meeting from the NY Suite.

I do feel that the editing needs another pass over. There were enough errors for it to be slightly annoying, but it's Kelly Kay. I can overlook it.
