An incredibly interesting read about the history of Rockstar Games leading up to the release of Red Dead Redemption. Maybe felt a little idealized at times, but ultimately very compelling and worthy of a read for anyone who wants to understand how Rockstar Games became the monolith they are today. For me, it was a nice little trip down memory lane, as Rockstar is one of the companies I've followed very closely with interest since I was a child. In a way, some of it felt inspirational. I only have vague aspirations of someday dabbling with gaming, but reading something like this makes me want to commit my life to becoming the best in a game development field in the hope that I could work for them on two or three titles even if it'd probably be a miserable, though passionate experience. That's definitely worth something.
