Copper for the Countess by Sally Britton

5.0

I originally read it back when it first released and I loved it so much. When I heard it was on audio I eagerly downloaded it, and let me tell you I think I loved it even more the second time through, if that’s possible.

Marian Hussey’s narration brought the book alive. Chris and Evie’s love story is so sweet and their character growth unfolds naturally. Never once did I feel frustrated with them like you do with some stories, you just follow along and savor each moment of their journey. Chris, AKA Frosty, will go down in history as one of my favorite cowboys. He’s patient, kind to his core, hard-working, understanding, strong and the way he cares for Evelyn is ***sigh*** so beautiful.

I also love Evelyn. I could relate to her as a mother. Willing to do anything for her daughter, then the other children under her care. I admired her strength and her determination as she is thrust from one bad situation to another. She needed someone kind and dependable in her life and he was there for her like no one had been before.

This is a fantastic book that I highly recommend! It’s clean while still having plenty of chemistry and slow burn. I can’t wait for book three!
