I have a thing for mermaids, so anything with a mermaid in it.. Im reading it!
I loved everything about this story and how african history is mixed in with the mythology as well. It was perfect.
Simi was the perfect MC. She was smart, brave and knows how to bargain when she needs to. I wish there was more interaction between the mami wata but I understand its was her story and there was no need for it.
I didnt see the twist at the end but looking back reading, it made sense and everything came good together.Â
I NEED THE SECOND BOOK NOW but Im on a book buying ban :(
