In my estimation, this is the best book ever written. The novel is difficult to pick up, but you become accustomed to the author’s style as you read it. The audiobook is also wonderful and can be a helpful tool. This book will have you elated, laughing, crying, disgusted, horrified, contemplative, outraged, confused. As close to a complete cross-section of the human experience is present here (at least for the period of time and perspective this was written in.)
Graphic: Adult/minor relationship, Gore, Pedophilia, Racism, and Excrement
Moderate: Slavery
Minor: Abortion
