“Words, I think, are such unpredictable creatures. No gun, no sword, no army or king will ever be more powerful than a sentence. Swords may cut and kill, but words will stab and stay, burying themselves in our bones to become corpses we carry into the future, all the time digging and failing to rip their skeletons from our flesh.”

The metaphors are really peculiar in this one. I honestly can't believe that this is where the series initially ended. It's... a conclusion of sorts, I guess. I liked the way that things unfolded, and I liked the developments of Aaron and Juliette's relationship in this book. It was a pretty good, fast-paced read. Adam did annoy me at times though, and Kenji is still my favorite character.
I also like the relationship between James and Aaron. That was cute. And the brother reveal plot line. That was also nicely done.
Even though this series might not be the best, I'm very entertained, and sometimes, that's all you want from a book.
