wow. this was so atmospheric and the writing was beautiful, heart-breaking and really fast-paced. i couldn't put this down every time i picked it up despite having a busy week with uni. i could see, smell and hear everything that was going on and im fully obsessed with the characters, especially the twins. i only have one criticism and that is the 'game' aspect of the book confused me a lot because as a reader we aren't really told much, even though the stakes are high it doesnt really feel that way? every character had such a distinct personality and voice it was so nice to be thrown into this world, every description was so well done and the mood of each scene was portrayed perfectly. i cant wait to read the starless sea because this was so enjoyable. a perfect read to sit with a candle on, coffee in hand, and listening to the rain fall against my window.
