Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

5.0

I almost missed it! The first chapter was not interesting to me, and I genuinely contemplated closing and returning the book. However, after returning 2 previous books, I just wanted to get into another one so I gave it a second chance... the second chapter. Then my interest was peaked and I was NOT disappointed. This book was so great, heartfelt, heart shattering, frustrating, exhausting, and beautiful. Hoover does not miss any details in this book, recalling moments from chapters ahead and weaving them in perfectly, which I so appreciate in a writer. The last chapter was absolute sprinkles, cherries, candles, and icing on top of the cake, I absolutely adored it and resented the fact that no one fell in love with me when I was 14. This is the kind of book that reminds you love is an important factor of life.

There is expletive language and multiple references to sexual interactions in this novel.
