I picked this up at random and if it weren’t for the audiobook version of it I would have never pushed through it. While at the beginning I did enjoy the characters, they were funny and seemed realistically written, however, as the story progressed I found myself start to dislike it.
Stereotypes and clichés are a big role in this book. The “good girl” who isn’t like the others fake dates her childhood crush the “bad boy” who is known for being more than a baseball player. They would have made better friends in my opinion, once things started happening with them it was extremely cringey. I mean the amount of times Travis called Georgie “baby girl” was definitely annoying—each time made me question why I was still reading this book.
Then there was the miscommunication near the ending of the book as way too dramatic and overdone—the overall ending was just kinda unsatisfactory. I should just learn to stay away from romance books like this.
