Book 10 of the “Ice Planet Barbarian” series. You do not need to read the other books to read this one.
This is Asha’s and Hemalo’s story that will either reconnect as mates. Or break them apart forever.
I feel like this is the book that we really get to see what is behind our spunky Asha and quiet Hemalo. I do have to give a small warning with this book. As we learned These two mates lost a child. She wasn’t very old, and they do talk about this in the story. Honestly because of how Dixon wrote the characters working through this. And the growth they both have by the end. The warning rating is only a 2/10.
Asha shows us that spunky kinda mean side we have come to expect from her. But we also see the real side to her as well. I enjoyed learning more about her. Even though we learned about Asha from the other books. I felt like by reading this, I saw a side I never expected. The ending felt like it fit the story line well. And I felt like Asha got what she deserved.
And sweet Hemalo. Poor Hemalo. We saw a more selfish side to him in this story. Though I think he had good intentions. As we watched him struggle with the hand he was given in life. We also saw him try to do what he thought was right, for all of them.
I’m giving this book a 7/10 rating. The story line was great, the characters emotional, and I read it in one sitting!
