If You Give the Puffin a Muffin by Timothy Young

4.0

At first, I wrote a not so good review about If You Give the Puffin a Muffin, basically saying I didn't get it and that it wasn't funny, and that I didn't understand all the good reviews. Following my review, I was contacted by Schiffer Publishing, who very kindly offered to send me a review copy of the first book (The Angry Little Puffin) so that I could understand what was so good about If You Give the Puffin a Muffin. And they did! All the way from the US to the UK in just a few days! And my toddler has loved the Angry Little Puffin from the second he saw "the blue book" (that's what he calls the book), we've read it so many times already.

The Angry Little Puffin is hilarious, the Puffin has such a huge personality. We find that again in If You Give the Puffin a Muffin. I still think it might be a bit difficult to understand for younger children, but it is really fun to have more of the Puffin's adventures and see him get mad and go onj about it. I liked the nods at other children's books as well, I think it would be fun to find out what they are with an older child.

Disclaimer - Thank you to Schiffer Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with a free digital copy in exchange for an honest review, and to Schiffer Publishing for sending me a review copy of the Angry Little Puffin.
