Something Like Summer by Jay Bell
Did not finish book. Stopped at 70%.
Made it 70% of the way through this book and, though I think this is a very good read, I'm kind of disappointed in a way. I wanted to read this book SO badly when I was in middle school because LGBT representation in media was very hard to find (or at the very least hard to gain access to) back then. The reason I think that I feel so disappointed is because I would have really benefited much more from reading this book when I first found it.
The book is perfectly good. It very well exemplifies gayness in the late 90s and early 2000s but I think maybe I've just been spoiled over the years with such incredible LGBT works because I'm just not gripped by this story in the way I may have been as a young gay.
