Buying Beth by Izzy Sweet, Sean Moriarty

challenging dark emotional tense fast-paced

4.5

This book by far tops all the others as the darkest book. When I tell you, I was not expecting a whole slavering to the plot of the book. Are two characters Beth and Jonathan meet much later in the story than the others do, which adds to the plot. The assault scenes were really hard to get through, more so than I was expecting, considering I knew I was reading a dark romance. But the writing really manages building tension. I honestly had no idea what was gonna happen next. I also loved the introduction of Charlie. I’m enjoying the ready-made family trope more than I thought.
