At the start of the book, the interview style format seems gripping and exciting, however, it quickly loses draw. In someways, the writing fell flat and could have been elevated by the author to keep readers enticed. Daisy Jones & The Six is more of a drama driven book, so when there isn't much going on, the reading pace slows. Some characters give off great one-liners, and there were definitely good quotes that stuck, but they were few and far between. This book is for someone who wants a very casual read and isn't in the mood for something complex. While there are some twists, and I did enjoy the read, I wouldn't say I was overall blown away by the author's work.
