This series was my introduction to Mira Grant, and now I have multiple shelves dedicated solely to this incredibly prolific (and epidemiologically well-informed) author. Also she's a delightful individual.

Incest doesn't show up in the first one, and isn't teeeeechnically incest since the characters are not biologically related, but the fact that it's one of the healthier relationships in the setting is much more damning of the setting than it is an endorsement of adopted siblings getting intimate. I didn't think it was done in a gross way, but anybody with personal incest trauma absolutely needs to know going in that it's gonna come up.
