Behaving Badly by Isabel Wolff

5.0

I didn't expect this book to be as ... dark ... as it was, based on the cover and description. Still a love story, of course, but it also had bombs and muggings and things of that sort. I did want to keep reading as soon as I started it. The author does something where she takes her time revealing things. Like "this really bad thing happened 16 years ago but the character still isn't ready to talk about it" or "my mom has a really crazy idea about llamas but it's too crazy to even say right now." Sometimes I liked that, it made it more mysterious, but sometimes I just wanted to know!
