Ruthless King by Meghan March
1.0
✨ Read for the 2018 Madcap MacHalo Fantabulous Bookish Challenge Extravaganza (MMFBCE™) Challenge over at the MacHalos - 3. Alpha & Beta ✨

I picked this for the Alpha & Beta category. I was wrong. It belongs to the Asshole & Whinnying Stupidity category. Unfortunately we didn't have one of those in the challenge.
• He was supposed to be a Ruthless Asshole.
↪ He was a cardboard that turned into a realasshole boy. The uncooked noodles in my pantry have done a better job in being an asshole than he did. Plus I see them in the pantry I never visit, way more than I saw him in this book.
• She was supposed to be the smart, brave fighter of a woman.
↪ She was naive, stupid and whiny beyond belief! Naive isn't bad but there is such a thing as "too much". After the first chapter I was wishing hard upon a star forPinocchio Mount to kill her already. No such luck.
I hated that we were promised fucking Ruthless and we got nothing. I hated even more that we were promised smart and we got whiny and stupid. But what pushed my hate into the Troposphere was that whiny & stupid was 99% of the book. To add insult to injury: the cliffhanger/plot twist (axaxaxa what plot?!). I saw it coming after the first page.
