This book was hit or miss for me.
I liked getting to see from the different characters perspectives and I liked the climax at the end of the book.
But.... there was just too much filler. I spent a lot of time wondering when something was really going to happen.
And I was kind of annoyed with the little girl in the story. She sounds adorable but anytime a small child has lines in a book, it's just asking for disaster.
There were some plot holes as well.
The big one is that the author says it's been 2 years since the Lighters started coming to Earth (or 2 years since they'd been on the run?) and yet, nobody has aged...
Shelly Crane is a great storyteller, and this is a good story, she just needs to have it edited hard core.
I'm not sure if I'll read the rest of the series. I'm not going to buy the rest right away like I did with the Significance series, which also had some errors, but I could look past them.
