This volume definitely pulled at my heartstrings 🥺 I refuse to accept both of the important things Hanako said at the end of this volume. I REFUSE.
As for more particulars about this volume, I enjoyed exploring the dynamic between Sumire and No. 6. They have a heartbreaking dynamic that is hard to sort if it’s one-sided or not.
It was also interesting to explore more deeply the relationship between Akane and Aoi. Their friendship has lasted for so long, but there’s also so much weighted tension between them. It truly does make it hard to parse if they love or hate each other. It’s the type of strong bond that leads to strong feelings (whether positive or negative).
In general, I enjoyed this volume a lot more than the previous one!
